Students who have recently arrived in Bangladesh from abroad and wish to enter OIS may join the school in July (starting of the session) or in January (middle of the session) and are specially taken care of to cope up in the new environment. They will be given an introduction to the school and its policies as well as a tour of our facilities. They will also be assigned a ‘buddy’ from among the current student body who can help them to settle in.
All foreign or non-resident Bangladeshi students will need to sit for an admission test to determine the level they have reached, unless they have recently taken O levels and have their results.
Foreign and non-resident Bangladeshi students are exempt from the requirement to sit Bengali O level. Instead, if they enter the school in class 8 or below, they can study German upto O level.
